I Love What I do

I absolutely enjoy Veil Trends. I love the industry and most of the people :) I get excited about the little things like when I find a new ribbon or lace. I always feel proud to see my designs on the heads of brides. I enjoy seeing the whole package, when a bride has chosen all her accessories and puts the look together. It's fun and weddings are a beautiful life event.

But let's be frank.....some days are tough. There are days I get overloaded and work from morning, through lunch and don't stop til late in the evening. When my schedule is thick and I start to feel the stress I just look to my refrigerator! No...not to eat! I look at this:

What is this you ask? This is a little bit of inspiration from my wonderful God-daughter Isabell. Isbaell colored this picture for me in 2008 and it is sits front and center on my refrigerator. It is a picture of a beautiful bride walking down the isle :)

One of the greatest keys to success in business and life is to constantly surround yourself with positive images of where you are going. Whatever that means for your life or business, you have got to have an image constantly reminding you of your goal or vision.

*If you have never been to the islands of Hawaii and have always dreamed of going, get a calendar of the islands in your office or a screen saver on your computer.

The day the idea of Veil Trends was launched, the first thing I did was bought a magazine and tore off the front page. I decided that if I was going to start a company I was going all the way to reach brides across the US and I wanted Veil Trends to be on the cover of a national magazine. I looked at the magazine cover ever day since 2005 and in 2007 Veil Trends was featured on the front cover of Modern Bride along with a editorial image on the inside of the magazine!

I share this with you as the new year begins because this is often the time for resolutions and goal setting. What is it you want to achieve in 2009? Do you want to be married? Do you want more success in your business, if so what exactly does that mean? I encourage you today to get a vision of where you want to be in 2009. Once you know what that means to you, find an image or physical object to put in front of your eyes every day.

I always love the start of a new season and 2009 is bringing wonderful new beginnings! We have great new stores and more locations in 2009 for brides to purchase Veil Trends veils. Along with new locations we have a great line up for Spring 2009 Trunk Shows!
